Let-It-Snow T-Shirt Craft

This t-shirt craft is a little more time consuming, so it would make the perfect sleepover or slumber party activity. These one of a kind tees are just as much fun to make as they are to wear!
Materials:
• Permanent Marker
• Paper
• Cardboard
• White Rock Bottom T-Shirt
• Tacky Glue
• Sponge Brush (or new kitchen sponge)
• Fabric Paint
Instructions:
1. Use a permanent marker to draw a thick-lined snowflake template on the paper.
2. Place the template over the cardboard and slip both inside the shirt, centering them behind the upper front of the garment. You should be able to see the template through the shirt.
3. Using a thin line of tacky glue (about 1/4-inch wide), trace the snowflake design onto the shirt. Let it dry for 10 minutes, then fill in any gaps with additional glue. Let the glue dry completely, until it is transparent (approximately 3 hours).
4. Dip the sponge brush in the paint and dab around the snowflake, completely covering the surrounding area. Use less paint toward the outer edge of the design. Let the paint dry overnight.

5. Soak the tee in warm water for about 10 minutes or until the glue softens. Peel off the glue and let the shirt dry, then follow the package instructions to set the fabric paint.

Helpful Hints for Last Minute Christmas Shopping

Uh-Oh where did December go?? All of a sudden it’s a week before Christmas and you still have a lot of shopping to do? Not a problem! Here are some last minute holiday gift ideas for all of the procrastinators out there.
SHOP ONLINE, NOW!:
Online shopping is great for this time of year since the malls and stores get so crowded. However, to make sure your gifts arrive on time, check the website for their shipping details and guarantees. To make sure your gifts from Rock Bottom T-Shirts arrive on time, be sure to place your orders by Thursday, December 17th!
GIFT CARDS:
Last minute or not, gift cards are always a great present. Everybody from the drugstore, to the electronics store, to the coffee shop is offering gift cards these days. This gives you plenty of opportunities to look thoughtful by tailoring your gift-card purchases to certain individuals. If you’re not comfortable just handing over a card, wrap it inside a mug or put it in the arms of a small stuffed animal. Another option is an online gift certificate that gets sent out via e-mail. Many retailers offer them, and their convenience to you is unparalleled!

MAGAZINE SUBSCRPITIONS:
Ordering a magazine subscription is a great gift because it is simple, yet personal to the recipient and their interests. To give the gift, you can buy a current issue of the magazine, wrap it up so it looks fancy, and let your loved one know there are 12 more where that came from.

ONLINE TICKETS TO A SHOW OR CONCERT:

This gift is both creative and thoughtful, and can still be done without leaving the house! The key to the success of this one is to buy tickets to a show that is perfect for the recipient.  Print out the tickets and some information about the show, tuck them into a Christmas card, and it’s all done.
THE GIFT OF YOURSELF:

For a gift that’s both personal and easy to execute on a deadline, create “coupons” for services you can provide in the weeks to come. Some examples for coupons could be for an amazing multi-course meal, babysitting services, pet-care services, massages, web site building, car repairs… anything, get creative!

How to Enjoy a Stress Free Holiday

No matter how much we may adore the holiday season, it is difficult to get away from the fact that the holidays can be an extremely stressful time. With a bit of pre-planning, you can reduce the stress level of many of the activities that come along with this joyful season.
1. GET YOUR SHOPPING DONE EARLY: The longer you procrastinate, the more crowded the stores will become and the longer the lines will get. One way to avoid this is to do as much of your shopping as possible via the internet or from print catalogs. http://www.rockbottomt-shirts.com/ is the perfect site for gifts for the whole family, even the dog!

2. DON’T TAKE ON MORE THAN YOU CAN HANDLE: This can be very easy to do, especially during the “season of giving”. Just remember, it is okay to say no! If it is possible within your budget, allow a cleaning person or crew to come in this one time a year and clean the house, while you are tending to matters that will need some of your personal attention. It is important to remember that a holiday celebration can still be beautiful and memorable, if you don’t end up doing all of the difficult holiday chores by yourself. Also, ordering a cake for Christmas dinner from a bakery will save you a few hours in which you can do something else.

3. KEEP THE KIDS ENTERTAINED AND HAPPY: Keeping the little ones busy will be very helpful, while you are preparing for guests to arrive and throughout the holidays in general. Our T-shirt crafts are the perfect activity to keep the kids happy! Choose from any of our fun and easy crafts posted on our blog.

4. KEEP YOUR COMPANY FULL AND SATISFIED: Hungry=Cranky! Make sure to have plenty of snacks out and around your home while entertaining.

5. REMEMBER TO ENJOY YOURSELF: There is so much more to it than work, baking, and entertaining. Play a CD of carols and sing along. Rent a couple of classic Christmas movies. Read some Christmas stories to your children. Take a walk or drive with your spouse or a friend to see the lights and decorations around town.
