Rock Bottom T-Shirts wants you to remember Thursday, March 4th is a day we can all embrace. It’s “Hug a GI Day”. Give a great big hug to any and all GIs you see on Thursday. The men and women of our armed forces deserve our thanks and appreciation.
Hug A GI Day falls on March 4th and has been celebrated since 1996. Although the creator of the holiday is unknown, it is said that March 4th was chosen because it’s the only date on the calender that is also an order: March Forth.
GIs perform an invaluable service to our country. They risk their lives for our freedom and to keep us safe. A simple hug is a small thanks for this vital service to our country. Other great ways to thank our men and women in uniform include visiting your local VA hospital, writing cards and letters to those serving overseas or donating your time or money to some of the great service organizations that support our troops.
