Are you curious about how women’s casual fashion will look in 2012? If you are, then continue reading because we’re about to share three women’s fashion trends that we believe will loom large this upcoming year. And while on one hand there’s probably some carryover from 2011 into 2012, there’s probably at least one trend on the list that will catch you by surprise.
Vintage Fashion in 2012
Vintage fashion made a huge statement in 2011. So it may come as no surprise that this women’s fashion trend will continue well into 2012. However, in 2012 the focus will shift to the 20′s and 60’s. Many fashion insiders credit the popular TV show Mad Men for this trend.
Can Denim Get Any Bigger than It Already Is?
In a word, yes. In fact, despite the fact that denim blue jeans have long been a staple of fashion, in 2012 they’re expected to become even bigger. Unlike in years past, however, this year designers and consumers will embrace a cleaner blue jean look. Gone are the ripped, weathered and heavily faded blue jeans of the past. In their place you might find jeans in bright solid colors.
The Return of Bell Bottoms!
While skinny jeans are probably not going anywhere in 2012, it’s wide legs and bell bottoms that will speak louder. So get ready to see a new wave of wide leg or bell bottomed women’s jeans hitting the shelves. This trend isn’t just confined to jeans either. In fact, it will extend into slacks and other types of pants, as well.
Each of these upcoming trends point to one thing – 2012 will be a big year for women’s vintage tees! They go perfectly with each trend that we’ve mentioned above, which is why you should stock up on them now.
If you’d like to follow this vintage trend, we actually carry a Women’s Vintage T-Shirt that’s perfect for blending vintage looks with current styles. It comes in eight vintage colors from small to 2X.
